The study "Multi-Sensor Deforestation Monitoring at Scale" explores a scalable, cost-effective approach to monitor and attribute deforestation, integrating medium-resolution Sentinel-2 and Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite imagery with AI and human analysis. It responds to growing sustainability demands, including the EU’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), by addressing the challenges of differentiating natural deforestation drivers, such as wildfires and agricultural expansion from human induced events.
